COMMUNITY SERVICE

We believe that caring for others is essential to an authentic life in Christ.  Caring for people in need of all kinds has always been part of community life at St Ambrose Church and at St Chad's Church.

Currently at St Ambrose Church you can find a mainly Music Group on Monday mornings; a Drop In Cafe on Tuesday and Friday mornings; an Elder Care Group on Thursday mornings; and an emergency Foodbank on Tuesdays, Thursday and Friday mornings 10-12 midday.    St Ambrose Church also hosts a Handiscope Group.  During the winter cheap firewood is available for local people also.

At St Chad's Church an OPShop sells good used clothing on Wednesday and Fridays from 9am-12 midday, and on Fridays there is a Community Lunch open to all for just $4. Every six weeks at St Chad's Church there is a Foot Clinic. The Men’s Breakfast Group meets at Chads on the second Saturday of the month at 8.30am for a light breakfast followed by a speaker.
